Question 1

How do I rent film gear from Skoolie Films in Atlanta?

Accepted Answer

Browse the catalog at skooliefilms.com/rentals, add gear to your cart, pick your pickup and return dates, and check out with a card. Or call 608-669-6647. Pickup is by appointment in the Atlanta area (Peachtree Corners, GA) and delivery is available for a flat $75.

Question 2

Are pickup and return days charged?

Accepted Answer

No. Pickup and return days are free. You are only charged for the days in between.

Question 3

How do weekends count on a rental?

Accepted Answer

A Saturday and Sunday together count as one rental day. A Friday pickup with a Monday return is a 1 day rental.

Question 4

What is the weekly rental rate?

Accepted Answer

The weekly rate is 3 times the day rate for every item. Longer rentals cap each additional block of days at the weekly rate.

Question 5

Is there a minimum order?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the minimum rental order is $100.

Question 6

What cameras and gear can I rent in Atlanta?

Accepted Answer

Sony FX6 cinema cameras (including a two-camera FX6 package), a RED Komodo package, a DJI Ronin 4D, Canon and Sony lenses including a Canon 17-120 Cine-Servo, Aputure LED lighting (1200d Pro, 600d, STORM 80c, amaran mats), light modifiers, grip and electric, stands, frames and diffusers, camera carts, monitors, wireless video, and production supplies.

Question 7

How do I check if gear is available for my dates?

Accepted Answer

Add the gear to your cart and open the date picker: days the gear is already booked are greyed out, and checkout will not accept dates when an item is fully booked. Availability is live from the Skoolie Films bookings system.
